Check that your files come from the official release surface before troubleshooting deeper.

Install and patch troubleshooting
Use this page when the client or patcher fails in a repeatable way. Start with the exact symptom you see, follow the matching checklist, and use the status page if the problem appears widespread.
Use the status page for widespread outages and this page for repeatable local failures.
Avoid random mirror or repack files when checksum or patch integrity looks wrong.
Common first-run failures
Match the symptom first so you do not waste time on unrelated fixes.
- If SmartScreen or antivirus blocks the launcher, confirm the file source and checksum before allowing it.
- If the patcher opens but cannot download, re-check the official patch host path and then check status for service-side issues.
- If the client fails to start, install the required runtimes and DirectX components before retrying.
- If files look altered or unofficial, replace them with the official baseline package instead of patching over mixed files.
When to stop retrying locally
Not every error is a local machine problem. Time-based or widespread failures should be treated differently.
- If multiple players are affected at once, send them to the status page first.
- If the issue is version-specific, point them to patch notes next.
- If local checks and status do not explain the issue, escalate through the published support path.
