Fix installation and update problems

If the issue only happens on your machine, follow the checklist below.

Common issues

Match the symptom first so you can move faster.

If Windows or antivirus warns about the launcher, confirm you downloaded it from the official website.
If the patcher opens but does not update, check your connection and then review the Status page.
If the game will not open, verify the required runtimes and DirectX components before retrying.
If the game folder looks damaged or incomplete, download again from the official download page instead of mixing sources.
